<p>The historic Baystone Lodge is located approximately 30 miles northeast of Menominee or 40 miles south of Escanaba. The lodge is situated near the beach and day-use area. Recreation activities include swimming, fishing, hunting, picnicking, horseshoes, volleyball, hiking and groomed/tracked cross-country skiing. The park also provides six miles of trails that rest on 678 acres.</p>

<p>Originally built in the 1940s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the lodge served as the park manager's residence until recently. It has hand-hewn beams, hardwood floors and a cut-stone fireplace with a fireplace insert. This lodge is available for rent and is perfect for family gatherings, weddings and event weekends.</p> 
 
<p>The Lodge sleeps 12 and includes one queen, one twin, one queen sleeper sofa, two double beds and a twin/full set of bunk beds. Additional amenities include 1.5 bathrooms, a screen porch and a great room.
The kitchen includes all dishes, cutlery, cookware, microwave, blender, coffee maker and toaster. A washer and dryer are available on site. It also includes an outdoor gas grill, fire pit, and picnic table. Each visitor will receive one set of bedding and two sets of towels for each week. Maid service is not available and visitors are expected to clean the unit prior to departure. All cleaning supplies are provided.</p>

<p>There are no pets allowed and no smoking allowed in the rental. A Recreation Passport is needed for all vehicles while staying at the lodge. There is a deposit of 50% down at the time of the reservation, the rest is due upon arrival. To make a reservation, call Wells State Park at 906-863-9747.</p>
