1. Informational Purposes Only

All information provided on CampScout — including campground descriptions, campsite details, amenity listings, pricing, availability, access road conditions, and user-submitted reviews — is provided for general informational purposes only.

CampScout does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any information on the platform. Campground conditions change frequently due to weather, seasonal closures, maintenance, and other factors outside our control.

2. Verify Before You Go

Before visiting any campground or campsite, always verify current information directly with the campground, the managing agency (such as the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, or state park system), or the official reservation system. Do not rely solely on CampScout for trip-critical decisions such as:

  • Whether a campground or road is currently open
  • Current reservation availability or pricing
  • Permit requirements
  • Fire restrictions or closures
  • Road conditions and vehicle clearance requirements

3. User-Submitted Content

Reviews, ratings, photos, and condition reports on CampScout are submitted by individual users and reflect their personal opinions and experiences at a specific point in time. CampScout does not verify the accuracy of user-submitted content and is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or outdated information contained therein.

A positive review does not guarantee you will have the same experience. A negative review does not mean the site is unsuitable for you. Conditions vary by season, weather, and personal preference.

4. No Safety Advice

Nothing on CampScout constitutes safety, wilderness survival, medical, or legal advice. Outdoor activities involve inherent risks. You are solely responsible for your own safety and the safety of those in your party. Always follow Leave No Trace principles, respect posted regulations, and exercise appropriate caution in the outdoors.

5. Third-Party Links and Data

CampScout may link to or display data from third-party sources including the National Park Service, Recreation.gov, and other public agencies. We do not control these sources and are not responsible for their accuracy or availability. Links to external sites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CampScout and its operators shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, or inconvenience arising from reliance on information found on this platform. This includes but is not limited to trip cancellations, vehicle damage, personal injury, or missed reservations.

See our Terms of Service for the full limitation of liability.
